Lesson Video: 42 mins

Preparing a project research design is introduced early in the course to encourage you think about the Case Study part of the exam. Every project begins with understanding the project issues and identifying the research issues. There is a discussion assessing quantitative methods as well as considering the value of secondary data and marketing and/or competitive intelligence.

An example case study (Global Links) is discussed in the later portion of the video to demonstrate applying research design and the need to defend all of your decisions including ethics and standards considerations. In the Topic Designs Case Study, you will be introduced to a case study to practice building your own project plan through out the course. You can submit your proposal about 3 weeks before the exam and I will offer feedback as the final live online lesson.
