Toronto, ON – July 21st – 2025 CAIP Canada is pleased to announce the launch of its Experienced Practitioner Pathway; an alternative route for seasoned professionals in the research, analytics, and insights field to obtain their Certified Analytics and Insights Professional (CAIP) designation.
The Experienced Practitioner Pathway (EPP) is designed for individuals with significant professional experience in the field of research, analytics, and insights who demonstrate leadership and achievement, offering those with at least 20 years of industry experience a simplified path towards the CAIP designation.
“The introduction of the Experienced Practitioner Pathway reflects our commitment to recognizing the valuable expertise of our industry veterans,” says Robert Wong, Chairman of CAIP Canada. “This alternative route will help experienced professionals to obtain the CAIP designation, further strengthening the credibility and standards of our industry”.
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the EPP, applicants must:
- submit a curriculum vitae demonstrating a minimum of 20 years of experience in marketing research and insights;
- provide a written demonstration of applied experience in two of the four Enabling Competencies and two of the four Technical Competencies from the CAIP Canada Competency Framework; share your thoughts on the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the industry in the next five years; and
- agree to uphold the CAIP Canada Standards, which align with those of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC);
- complete CAIP Canada’s online Ethics and Standards course, including its quiz; and
provide two Canadian references, including at least one from a current CAIP member.
Application Details:
- The $850 application fee includes a non-refundable $500 processing fee and a $350 annual membership fee (refundable if the application is unsuccessful).
- CAIP Canada will review submissions twice a year:
- Applications submitted on or before September 30 will be reviewed no later than the end of November.
- Applications submitted on or before March 31 will be reviewed no later than the end May.
- A committee of current board members and CRIC Fellows will review applications against standard criteria.
