Nathaniel Stone CAIP FCRIC is Coordinator of Algonquin College’s Marketing Research and Analysis program and teaches courses in Marketing Research, Competitive Marketing Intelligence and supervises student research projects.

Before he left the Public Service in 2019, he was responsible for outreach and knowledge management at the Public Opinion Research Directorate of the Government of Canada for 14 years. In that role, he conducted knowledge activities including convening a community of practice, holding
advisory panels on best practices, organizing speakers’ sessions, a social media network, a monthly newsletter and organizing training courses.

Previously, he worked at a private sector research firm. Prior to that, served at various federal departments, including Communication Canada, Global Af fairs and Statistics Canada. Mr. Stone has a Master of Arts in the Social Sciences f rom the University of Chicago and an International MBA f rom the University of Ottawa.

When he is not working in profession-related activities, Mr. Stone is an active swimmer and Canadian Rockies hiker, United Empire Loyalist historian and member of CAIP Toastmasters. Mr. Stone lives in the beautiful but snowy Ottawa Valley, half -way between the towns of Stittsville and Almonte.
