The Certified Analytics and Insights Professionals of Canada (CAIP Canada) is working with ESOMAR and the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) to bring the Research Got Talent competition to Canada. Research Got Talent is a global competition that offers young researchers an opportunity to demonstrate how research can make a difference for a charity or NGO. Pioneered by associations in India and Hong Kong, this competition has seen tremendous success in showcasing the positive impact of the insights sector, and is now being implemented worldwide. This award competition, led by CAIP Canada, CRIC and ESOMAR encourages young researchers (aged 18-35) to support charities/non-profit organisations to overcome relevant and pressing social issues.
To participate, younger researchers must select a Canadian charity or NGO that they are passionate about and design a research project proposal that will help make a difference at their charity. It could be a charity you, your company or your school have already worked with. The Logit Group and Maru/Blue have generously donated fieldwork (hosting/programming/sample) that can be used by the winner. Proposals are due May 17, 2021 and the winner will be announced on May 20. The winner will complete the research by August 23, 2021 and will be entered into ESOMAR’s global competition.
The winner of the Canadian competition will receive a free entry pass to the next ESOMAR Global Congress (expected to be held in September 2022) and will represent Canada in the ESOMAR Global Research Got Talent competition that will take place in September 2021. The competition offers younger research the opportunity to showcase their work on a global stage and, more importantly, make a meaningful difference within their community.
